    You can help North Carolina hurricane victims by purchasing select bourbon.

    Give 270, Inc. is inviting bourbon enthusiast to bid on select barrel pick bourbons to help raise money in support of hurricane relief efforts in greater Asheville, NC. Those interested are invited to view, bid, and pay for items via Give 270’s online platform. All items will include a decal commemorating the important purpose of these barrel picks.

    Proceeds of the silent auction will benefit the charitable efforts of Give 270 and its support of Hearts with Hands, a 501c(3) non-profit providing physical, spiritual, medical, economic and other necessary aid to victims of poverty, natural disaster, or famine.

    -2 parts rye

    -1 part Rabarbaro Zucca

    -1 dash 18.21 Prohibition

    -Flamed orange peel

    Directions:

    1. Add all ingredients except orange peel into a mixing glass filled with ice.
    2. Stir until chilled.
    3. Strain into a coupe glass.
    4. Garnish with flamed orange peel.

    Give 270 recently sponsored the annual Mercy Academy Walk. This annual fundraiser for Mercy Academy helps provide tuition assistance to their current and incoming students. Mercy Academy is an all-girls Catholic high school that welcomes young ladies of all faith backgrounds and believes in educating and empowering young women to be successful well beyond their four years of high school.

    As a result of BR-003 through bourbonraffles.org, Give 270 recently presented $5,100 to Bourbon With Heart, a non-profit that works to leverage the influence and popularity of Bourbon to raise awareness surrounding Kentucky’s art community, provide Kentuckians with better access to first-class arts experiences regardless of age, race, class, gender, or ability, and raise funds for other non-profits.

    United Way of Central Kentucky receives over $59,000 after Whiskey Wednesdays

    President/CEO of United Way of Central Kentucky, Christa Shouse, was pleasantly surprised after the reveal of the results from Whiskey Wednesdays Round 12. UWCK received over $59,000 to help fund their Mini-Grants Program. The Mini-Grant Program helps fund projects and initiatives across the UWCK service region: Hardin, LaRue, Meade, Breckenridge, and Grayson Counties.

    As a result of a recent Bourbon Strong, Give 270 presented checks in the amount of $6,087 each to Camp TESSADown Syndrome Association of the Heartland, and Project L.E.A.R.N.

    These organizations provide services, advocacy, support, and education for people with disabilities.

    -Tajin rim

    Directions:

    1. Fill a mixing glass 2/3 full of ice. Add the bourbon, simple syrup, lemon, and jalapeno and stir until well-chilled.
    2. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
    3. Garnish with a Tajin rim.
    4. Purchase your Whiskey Wednesday raffle tickets.
    5. Enjoy responsibly.

    Give 270 partners with Barrels for Hope

    Give 270 recently partnered with Barrels for Hope to present a silent auction during their first annual event.

    The mission of Barrels for Hope Whiskey Club is to create a community of positive, loving, charitable people who are as passionate about bourbon as they are about helping others with the expectation of nothing in return. Profits from the barrels selected are donated to support four charitable organizations that focus on children, military, cancer, and mental health.

    The Trent DiGiuro Foundation receives $30,500 from Give 270

    Mike and Ann DiGiuro, representing The Trent DiGiuro Foundation, received a proceeds check from Give 270 Board Chair Eric Clemens for $30,500 following the second raffle event hosted by BourbonRaffles.org.

    The DiGiuro’s started The Trent DiGiuro Foundation in honor of their son, Trent, who was tragically killed just three days shy of his 21st birthday. Trent was an accomplished student and athlete, playing as a walk-on offensive lineman at the University of Kentucky. Trent’s parents started the foundation to keep Trent’s memory alive and give back to their community through scholarships for 3 high schools in Oldham County and at the University of Kentucky.

    BOURBONRAFFLES.ORG is a new platform offering fundraising opportunities for the benefit of a broader group of non-profit organizations and worthwhile initiatives. By partnering with groups and organizations that have audiences interested in allocated and collectible whiskeys, Give 270 aims to expand its impact beyond its own region.
