Eric and Joe Show Joins Give 270
SpringHaven to benefit from 2017 variety show
Elizabethtown, Ky. – The creators of the Eric and Joe Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Show and the founders of regional non-profit Give 270 announced today a new partnership to further address local unmet needs.
The variety show will now operate as an independent fundraiser under the umbrella of Give 270, a 501c3 organization.
Eric Clemens and Joe Bennett, creators and stars of the variety show, started the annual event four years ago and audiences have grown each year, with more than 1,000 tickets sold in 2016.
“We’re really excited about the show’s following, and Give 270’s non-profit structure is going to allow us to stay focused on producing a quality show that people will enjoy for years to come,” said Joe Bennett.
That translates to a continued contribution to critical local needs. Each year, all proceeds go to a local charitable organization. This year, the show’s proceeds will benefit SpringHaven, which helps victims of domestic violence and their children.
“We couldn’t be happier to partner with such a high-caliber event, and we look forward to working together to expand the reach of the show and Give 270,” said Give 270 co-founder Kenny Rambo.
He called the partnership a natural fit as the show and Give 270 share the same goal – to draw more people to local philanthropy and to add something fun and unique to downtown Elizabethtown’s entertainment lineup.
Clemens agreed.
“Out of all the Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Shows in the world, we are proud to be the first to partner with Give 270,” Clemens said.
The 2017 Eric and Joe Before Thanksgiving Christmas Variety Show is at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 and 18 and at 5 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown. Tickets go on sale Oct. 6.
