Give 270 and North Hardin Wine & Spirits presents $6,859.25 check to Opal’s Dream Foundation

Give 270, a local nonprofit, and North Hardin Wine & Spirits, a Radcliff liquor store, came together to raise $6,859.25 for Opal’s Dream Foundation through the sale of an exclusive bourbon bottle celebrating the military veteran community. The check brings Give 270’s overall giving to more than $200,000 in the last five years.

“We are passionate about supporting area veterans who have given so much for our country and our community locally,” said North Hardin Wine & Spirits owner Rob Fogle. “We reached out to Give 270 to help us come up with a creative way to fundraise and support our veteran community.”

Together, Give 270 and North Hardin Wine & Spirits created an exclusive bourbon store pick with the intention to support Radcliff area veterans. At the Aug. 2 check presentation, Give 270 board members joined Rob and Davisa Fogle to present the proceeds check to Opal’s Dream Foundation Chief Operating Officer Paul Thompson and board members Pete Ramsey and Ken Dozer.

“Opal’s Dream Foundation is committed to enriching the lives of people in long-term care facilities by meeting their physical, emotional, or spiritual needs,” said Thompson. “When partners like Give 270 and North Hardin Wine & Spirits seek to support the elder population, we are excited to connect them to opportunities in their community.”

Most recently, Opal’s Dream Foundation made a donation to the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center totaling more than $13,000. The recreation donation included a surround-sound system, a custom arcade game system with 500 classic games and six large garden boxes.
