Elizabethtown-based nonprofit Give 270 has donated $33,000 worth of proceeds from its weekly Whiskey Wednesdays raffles to benefit four organizations that provide scholarships for area students. The nonprofit has donated $8,250 to the Central Hardin High School FFA Alumni Association, the Fort Knox Spouses and Community Club, the Radcliff Rotary Club and the Alpha Omega Sigma Chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.
“A great deal of what we do is provide funding to support the Central Hardin FFA chapter, its members, and students’ education,” said Kyle Mobley, president of the Central Hardin High School FFA Alumni Association. “This generous contribution demonstrates to our students that the community is deeply invested in fostering the valuable lessons and experiences that a robust FFA chapter provides.”
The donations were made possible through proceeds from Whiskey Wednesdays raffles that took place throughout the first quarter of the year.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to support area organizations that invest in the future of local students,” said Eric Clemens, Board Chair for Give 270. “We were compelled by the mission of each of these organizations to support area students and are pleased with the outcome of this round of Whiskey Wednesdays.”
Give 270 is currently hosting its 7th round of weekly Whiskey Wednesdays raffles, which provides ticket purchasers with five chances to win valuable bourbon prizes each week, including a bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, along with a Weller 12 Year, a Weller Antique 107, a Weller Special Reserve, and a bottle of Riff Corp, a single barrel selection of New Riff bourbon from Elizabethtown-based retailer John O’s Liquors. All proceeds from the raffles will benefit Give 270’s mission to support community, economic and workforce development through local giving.
