The Kimbles- there are several emotions that I know plenty in this community are feeling right now. Not only were they the most kindhearted people, but they always put others first. They started a non-profit organization called Joshua’s Friends, which was named after their son Joshua Kimble who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. This organization has been incredible for the special needs families in our local community. I cannot even begin to describe everything that they have done and continue to do. Liz and Dr. TJ lived by the word of God and always encouraged others to follow. The Kimbles were a couple you could always go to when you just needed someone to talk to and they listened without putting any judgment on your situation. The love that they had for each other was one that everyone dreamed about. Liz could do no wrong in her husband’s eyes and she worshiped the ground that Dr. TJ walked on. They raised three smart, strong, loving, and courageous boys: Thomas (AlexisLee), Joshua, and Micah (Abbygayle). These boys and their new grandchild were their world. Dr. TJ served in the Army. He also volunteered where he was needed. He also counseled families in need. Along with volunteering, he was a chaplain at Baptist Health Hardin. Liz also volunteered her time where she was needed and ran the everyday operations for Joshua’s Friends.
Then on August 22nd, after more than two weeks of battling COVID-19 , Liz lost her life and was called to her forever home. Soon after, on August 24th, Dr. TJ was also called home to be with his wife after complications with COVID-19.
