Elizabethtown, Kentucky-based nonprofit Give 270 made a surprise $1,500 match donation Friday to the Hardin County Farmers’ Market in honor of their Anniversary Celebration. The donation is a match for all the community sponsors who are set to support the June 24th celebration.
“Give 270 is grateful for the economic and health benefits of the Hardin County Farmers’ Market and the outstanding work this organization does to support our agriculture community,” said Kenny Rambo, Give 270 co-founder and board member. “We wanted to further support the volunteers who are dedicated to providing our community with high-quality, locally-sourced food and products.”
The Hardin County Farmers’ Market is celebrating their 46th anniversary on Saturday, June 24 with a public event, which will include a ceremony, giveaways and free cupcakes for all attendees. The event takes place during the regularly-scheduled farmers’ market Saturday hours. The market features several regional vendors selling fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, baked goods, jams and jellies and other delicious farm-fresh items.
“We were surprised and honored to receive this donation from Give 270 to support the Hardin County Farmers’ Market,” said Ben Smith, president of the local nonprofit. “These resources will go a long way in helping support our farmers’ market and the growers that make this place possible.”

Today, Give 270 made a $2,000 donation to Youth Theater of Hardin County (YTHC) to further support arts and opportunities for area youth. This year, YTHC is presenting their 2023 summer musical – Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, a rip, roaring musical that highlights the spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys with music, dance and romance thrown in for fun.
YTHC, the longest running youth theater program in Kentucky, is a non-profit organization that provides arts education, recreation, and a cultural opportunities for Hardin County youth.

Give 270 representatives donated $2,000 to Tails and Tatas Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk presented in partnership with Swope Family of Dealerships. The hybrid format race allows for both virtual and in-person participation as well as dog-friendly fun and entertainment.
Tails and Tatas benefits the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin and provides essential funding to support cancer care patients from diagnosis through treatments.

Elizabethtown, Kentucky-based nonprofit Give 270 made a $15,232.92 donation to the Deputy Caleb Conley Memorial Fund through Whitaker Bank via proceeds from the nonprofit’s most recent Whiskey Wednesdays raffle.
The fund was established to support the family of the late Scott County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Caleb Conley, who was killed in the line of duty on May 22. Deputy Conley, who left behind a wife and two children when he was shot and killed during a traffic stop, served for eight years in the U.S. Army before becoming a deputy.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of this raffle and our ability to help the family of a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice,” said Eric Clemens, Board Chair for Give 270.
Give 270 collaborated with Jordan Jacobs, who worked with Deputy Conley, on the raffle. In addition to the typical bourbon prizes given away during this round of Whiskey Wednesday’s, last week’s raffle also included a Weller Vertical donated by Jacobs.
“It is an honor to contribute to help Deputy Conley’s family through this raffle,” Jacobs said. “The support for this raffle is a testament to Deputy Conley’s legacy as an exceptional law enforcement officer and member of the community.”
Round 7 of the weekly Whiskey Wednesdays raffles kicked off in April, providing ticket purchasers with five chances to win valuable bourbon prizes each week. Raffles in Round 7 take place on Give 270’s Facebook page and YouTube channel each Wednesday at 8 p.m. until June 28. Each week, Give 270 gives away the grand prize of a bottle of Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, along with a Weller 12 Year, a Weller Antique 107, a Weller Special Reserve, and a bottle of Riff Corp, a single barrel selection of New Riff bourbon from Elizabethtown-based retailer John O’s Liquors. Tickets for Whiskey Wednesdays raffles are $5 and there is no limit to the amount of tickets purchased per individual each week.
Elizabethtown, Kentucky-based nonprofit Give 270 made a $60,000 donation to the Oldham County-based Trent DiGiuro Foundation Wednesday night through proceeds from the nonprofit’s latest Bourbon Strong raffle.
The Trent DiGiuro Foundation annually awards scholarships to graduating student-athletes at Oldham County High School, South Oldham High School and North Oldham High School, along with a scholarship for a UK walk-on football player.
The foundation’s namesake was a University of Kentucky walk-on offensive lineman and South Oldham High School graduate who tragically died just three days before his 21st birthday on July 17, 1994. Living Waters Guatemala Partnership is a collaboration between Elizabethtown Rotary and First Presbyterian Church providing clean water in Guatemala. Interested in helping out more?
