Eric and Joe Show donates $8,500 to Baptist Health Foundation Hardin

May 14, 2021

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – Eric Clemens and Joe Bennett, creators of the Eric and Joe Show, presented a $8,500 check to the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin, formerly the HMH Foundation. Each year, the Eric and Joe Show, an annual holiday variety show and Give 270 fundraiser, raises money for a nonprofit organization in Central Kentucky.

“In light of the global pandemic, we thought the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin would be the perfect recipient of proceeds from the 2020 Eric and Joe Show,” said Bennett. “We appreciate everything the doctors, nurses and staff at the hospital have done to care for patients during this difficult time.”

Because of the pandemic, last year’s Eric and Joe Show, which is traditionally presented live onstage, was filmed and played at Crowne Pointe Theatre in a large-scale movie format. The modified format allowed multiple viewings during a 10-day showing as well as reduced audience size.

Bennett added that the support of the movie theater was critical to the show's success.

“Crowne Pointe Theatre was a wonderful partner this past year,” Bennett said. “Without their support, we would not have been able to put on the show or raise this money for the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin.”

Since 2013, the Eric and Joe Show has donated more than $40,000 to local nonprofits. Previously, the Eric and Joe Show made donations to SpringHaven, Mission Hope for Kids, Helping Hands of Hope, Clarity Solutions and others.

Give 270 is a local 501(c)(3) crowdfunding organization that raises money to benefit projects and organizations in Hardin, LaRue and Meade counties. Give 270 also hosts the Kentucky Craft Beer Festival and other fundraising events.

“Give 270 is passionate about finding creative ways to support our local communities and there is nothing more creative than the talents of Eric and Joe,” said Give 270 co-founder Kenny Rambo. “Both are valued members of our board of directors, and we are glad they decided that the show must go on. Now, we join them in celebrating this donation to the Baptist Health Foundation Hardin.”
